Greetings from paradise!

Koh Samui is where its at! The weather has been fantastic whilst we've been here, apparently its has been raining up until we arrived. We arrived at Surat Thani Station on the sleeper train at about 6 in the morning after the worst nights travel imaginable. We got onto a coach to take us on a ferry from Dontask to Samui which got us to the island at about 11.30. We're staying at Chaweng beach, the main beach on the island at a beachside hotel called the chaweng cabana. After checking in we walked 50 metres from our room to the beach and burnt ourselves to a crisp. After peeling eachother off our sunbeds we went for a meal on the beach, best meal so far. Shark steak for Matt and same old for Rach (although Rach's chicken was in the spicest red curry!) Its like a holiday in a holiday. its great and we dont want to leave, especially as we have to go back to Bangkok on that bloody sleeper train.

Today we went on an eco-tour which we left for at 8am and took us all over the island. We went elephant trekking, had a thai food cooking lesson, saw a monkey show, made coconut milk and finished off with a swim at the islands waterfall. Awesome! Arrived back at the hotel about 1pm and have been sunbathing, eating, drinking and swimming in the pool and sea up until now.
