Heya,
Our drive to Byron Bay took us out of Queensland and into New South Wales. We passed through Brisbane and Surfers Paradise and arrived at the Bay late because our bus broke down on the way. We had dinner in a place called Cheeky Monkeys although the only cheeky monkeys were us who had a free drink and dinner voucher and then walked out straight after.he he! After a coffee and the worlds largest carrot cake in a local cafe we headed back to our hostel. The next day we had a walk around Byron Bay which is hippie central and cooked again for lunch (pasta, pasta, pasta!). We rented a DVD, called the Bucket List with a couple who we met along the coast and were sharing a room with us. Our third and final day was spent walking to Cape Point, Australia's most eastern point. Prawns are so cheap over here that Matts eateing them as a snack. The evening was spent talking to a Geordie couple for about 4 hours in our kitchen, random. Our next stop along the coast was Surf Camp which was a hostel with a surfing school next door. The day had finally come for Matt to enter the Sea. Once we were kitted up with our suits and boars we headed down to the beach where we were given a lesson on what to do once in the water. Then it was time, we walked in and within 5 minutes both of use were surfing, as in fully standing up on our boards riding waves.(posing for the camera aswell) Oh no mum, i have pictures aswell, cha ching! After a couple of hours we headed back for dinner and a few drinks around the fire, how lovelly.
Next Stop...Sydney.
