Monday 6th July 2009

Today we travelled to Mildura where we plan to stay for a few days to catch up with some friends.Pulled in to Pat and Alan's (Mel's old family friends) where we were greeted with a cold beer, a big roast dinner and a warm bed (which was most appreciated because the nights were freezing in Mildura).

Tuesday 7th July 2009

We had a bit of a sleep in, a chat and a cuppa with Pat and her brother,before driving over to Wentworth for lunch and to see the junction of the mighty Murray and Darlings Rivers.Then we did a quick tour of the old Wentworth Prison before heading back to Mildura to do some jobs, refuel and get ready for dinner with John and his wife Briany at their house (John is an old friend from Matt and my Contiki days).And in true Italian style we were overwhelmed with food and drink and ate so much we had to roll off the couch.Thanks John and Bry!And John I hope you are still using the plug that you only just discovered in the sink (that's been there for the past couple of years!!

After a text message from Mel's cousin today we decided to change our plans and head to Adelaide for a quick visit.
