we have been in northan thailand for a few days in pai and chang mai. visited temples and pai was a very hippy 70s place with loads nice bakerys. changmai was nice although we didnt end up trekking as we had to get over the border to loas which was a two day boat trip. In chang mai we caught up with some friends we meet up with along the way and went to the night bazaar which was nice.

Yesterday we arrived in Koh Tao smallest of the islands next to Koh Samui. We boarded a little ferry and started the white nuckle ride over the waves that felt 10ft high for an hour and a half. So bad everyone was handed a sick bag and god was they well used. We spent 8 nights on koh phangan on bottle beach north of the island. The beach was really nice probably the best beach on the island. The only way to reach it was on a long tail from thongsala pier. We stayed at Haud Khaud resort in a bunglow right on the beach and then over new year we moved to a fancy room in the same resort.
