Our introduction to Mexico City said it all...we got off the bus after 7 hours and piled into a taxi. It took us 20 minutes or so to get to the city centre...and another 2 hours to get anywhere in the centre! In the end we gave up and walked. The traffic was so bad that we just sat still for great amounts of time. The driver did his best though - he kept his hand on the horn for almost the entire time. Very effective! At one point we were sitting in a side street...

Mexico! Very cool to be here at last! After Flagstaff, the car to New Orleans didn´t happen so we cut our losses and jumped on a bus. Well, Mexico is BIG!
