Back again with another instalment. This time we are writing this as full time workers. Carly is a leasing assistant for 3 huge shopping malls, one of which is the biggest in Australasia. She is based there as well!! Baad news for the budget.......I am working as a procurement officer for Coates, a huge industrial equipment rental company. Both getting great pay & managing to save almost £300 a week each.

So, backtracking slightly, we had a meal at a really nice quaint restaurant in Berwick called Shanika's. It was a surprise present from Arlene & Jay for baby-sitting last week. Was really good food. We hit the local pub for a couple pints & met a few young Aussie guys who were talking to us about travelling & footy & anything else we brought up.

We spent the Saturday at the beach. Arlene packed an esky full of food & we set off with cricket set, footies & a body board towards Portsea. It's a really quiet little town with little more than a pub & a hotel!

The weather was superb, bearing in mind that it was the first week of spring. We played cricket & footie on the beach for a few hours & Jay & I had a quick dip in the freezing sea. The waves were awesome & I caught some good waves on the body board.

After the beach we popped into the pub for refreshment purposes & sat on the lawn overlooking the harbour. It was stunning. We carried on to meet a couple of Jay & Arlenes friends. They own a gorgeous summerhouse near Portsea. We had a big chat & plenty of drink, except for the driver of course!!

When we got home we had fish & chips & plonked infront of the telly with a beer!! Really getting used to the way of life over here!!!

The following week (today) we went to the Latino Circus in Narre Warren just up the road. It was shockingly bad, I had more fun in the shop, buying sweets beforehand. I did get up on the stage though to perform the best trick of the show. Was a big test of strength but cant really explain the details with going on and on and on and on and on........oh, sorry.

Tonight we are just chilling out with junk food & a few cups of tea. It's what happens with a house full of poms.
