Welcome to our first blog - let's hope you enjoy it!

We got here fine as you can tell, the flight was rather long but matt was enjoying the tv ondemand and the games you could play - he also batterd 3 flight meals including one of mine! Barrel! They were quite tasty though!

Ok so we got here, bags and all! Made our way to our hotel which is stunning! Well posh not the kind of accomodation you would expect a traveller to stay in! Loving it though! It was so hot aswell when we landed it was like 36 degrees - i was baking in my jeans! Matt was practicing his Thai in the taxi which the driver found rather amusing so it obviously wasn't right!ha ha it was a good effort though!We landed in the afternoon so just checked out the hotel and went for a wander trying out some of the street food and getting stared at by many locals as we soon came to realise we are like the only tourists in this part of bangkok.

So we got an early night last night so we could get an early start. Had a nice continental breakfast in the hotel as it's included. Then got on our travels by seeing some of the sights. Turns out they are all temples & Buddhas but no complaints. We saw 6 in total & were being ferried around in Tuk Tuk's which was fun. Two of the drivers abandoned us cos we were either too long in the temples or cos we didnt buy anything in the shops they took us to!! We got it free though so obviously not complaining. Next taxi was only a second away!!

Got back to the hotel after a long day & we were both sweating right out. Felt disgusting from all the fumes. Good shower then out for food on Kho San Road (and a few cheeky beers). Nice experience, food was good too.

Gonna have to cut it short there as we have a time restriction. So far Bangkok is as we imagines it to be but wouldnt wanna stay too many days. Off to Kanchanaburi in the morning to stay on the River Kwai. The start of a 10 day tour. Sweeeet!!
