Hi Mat !
Good to see parts of the world that i also have memories from, some of them best not put in print!!
You should easily recognise your Dads birthplace,as there is a big rubbish tip there now!!
While you are busy "WORKING YOUR ARSE OFF"down there in the sun, we are lazing around at our full time places of employment scraping a living, paying taxes and freezing our balls off !! So give us a break and stop showing us what a jolly time you're having and give us a little misery and trauma so we can feel privileged again!!!
No seriously,i shall be serious, maybe ,someday-not today, but another day, someday in the future,as long as it isn't red nose day, just on the day i was thinking of being serious. There you see that was easy enough to get to grips with ,or not?
Okay Mat, when you've worked this one out, you'll be back in England and i'll be an O.A.P.
Dad
Hi Mat,
Have a great time in Fiji. I checked out the weather report and there is going to be heavy rain when you arrive with the chance of flash floods !! I also checked the position on the company car insurance for you. The policy itself says you have to be over 21 or you need to have held a full license for 2 years plus.....so that should mean you qualify, however I rang to check and they said they think it is alright, but as we don't have any other 19 year olds on our books (in fact there is no one under 21 registered to drive) they want to check it out with the insurers. It should be ok but, if, for example, adding you means that the company has to pay a higher overall premium they won't do it. So, I have to apply, and they will pass it through the secretariat to check it out as a test case. You know you will have to pay a higher excess if it gets damaged don't you ? Other than that it would be free...so lets hope it is ok.
I know you are not spending much time in and around Rotorua when you are in NZ however, just in case you pass it, you know I was born in Murapura, but the name of the village I lived in was Kiangaroa Forest...so, if you pass either on your travels (both are close to the boiling mud pools etc) take some pictures for me. Have a great time, and speak to you soon.

Trying really hard to resist all the stereo type Aussie names. Nope! not working, here goes...
Ello Bruce, looks fair dinkem in the big OZ.
Phew! I feel alot better. Anyway, pics are great, you still look as skinny as ever. I think the message board is hystrical. Dan is brilliant - he shows the same command of the English language as is fabulous Aunt, its the creative genius in him. Looks like Mrs P is missing you loads! Still we all look forward to seeing you soon. Have loads of fun.
The Awadzi five!

Mrs P
Never fear Mrs P is here!! We have had a few problems this week with technology. Once we were up and running in the P household, homework had to take priority - much to Josh's disgust! Sounds like you are having a great time exploring the otherside of the world. Brilliant news about University, you are sure to get a place with your enormous brains and easy going personality. Anyway do you remember me telling you about the ducks floundering in the floods? I have to report that I saw a duck giving another duck a piggy back, at first I thought how sweet, what a nice duck helping the other one out. I then heard a lot of squacking amongst the spinach ( the allotments had flooded)and soon realised that there was more to it!!!!! Since speaking to you last I have been to a disco to celebrate the Sharman's silver wedding anniversary. Unfortunately someone there had unbearably smelly armpits. To take my mind off it I choreographed a new dance called 'the smelly armpit dance'. It involves swaying from side to side to the music and wiping your left index finger under your nose followed by the right index finger, then an imaginary squirt under each armpit followed by a quick wiggle. Give it a go it is very easy!! It soon caught on at the disco. One of my sons who shall remain nameless has recently invented a one legged chicken dance which seems to have caught amongst his friends!! I can only assume that choreography runs in the family. This week has been quite uneventful really. My parents have been staying with us as it was Adam's and my mum's birthday, the same day as your mum's. I have had one memorable moment with home made soup in a liquidiser. I made the mistake of trying to liquidise warm soup. I didn't hold the lid down and the hot air bulit up and blew the lid off during the liquiding....I was covered and so were the kitchen surfaces. My mum then decided to try and help. She tried to manage the liquidiser controls from behind me while I held the lid down. Unfortunately I was not strong enough to keep the lid on. The whole lot shot out again all over me and up my mother's sleeve!!! We just fell about laughing...the dog thought it was great! Time for me to sign off, there is talk of snow next week and northerly winds and I need to prepare my sledge. I'll believe it when I see it. Keep safe.xxx

Hope you're ok haven't heard from you in a while although I know you've been on a boat and don't imagine there's an internet connection on there. If you're wondering where Mrs. P has got to she's having trouble with her internet connection but she'll be back on line soon. Hope you're having a good time and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Take care and love you lots x

Hi Matt,
Thought I'd write and say hi as I haven't for a while.....even though I have been regularly reading what you have had to say and checking out your photo's. Wish I was there in the sun, well heat I should say as for the past week it has actually been quite sunny here. I got Dennis to put a washing line in the back garden and have been able to hang up my washing! Hee hee now that I'm a home owner! I'm going to get a cat! How exciting to keep me company. Wish you could see all the changes that have been going on at the house as it is all coming together now and starting to feel like home, I didn't take any photo's but I'm sure Sarah will fill you in. Talking of Sarah I have her Grace and Agi staying this Saturday night as it is st Patricks day and they are all going out! It's will be nice having guest staying over for the first time! Anyway should get on with some work I suppose as that is what I'm being paid for hee hee. Take care, speak to you soon love me x x
