Hello from Queenstown. On the way here, we stopped at a place called 'puzzling world', which was rather puzzling. It was filled with loads of weird illusions, that dont look so good in photos, but it managed to keep us entertained for 2 hours.
We went luging today and have just got back. It was a really good laugh. The setting was pretty amazing, as you can probably tell from the picture. The luges went suprisingly fast, considering they are no more than a tray on three tiny wheels. The course had some really sharp bends, tunnels and jumps. Jim and I managed to stay on the luge the whole time, allthough Ed crashed his quite a few times.
Queenstown is the adrenaline capital of New Zealand but i havent done anything more risky than luging, as im sure you are glad to hear (especially mum and sarah). Ed has done a 134m bungy jump, but i didnt think it was worth 100 pounds, or potentially losing my sight for ten seconds of fun!
We went to a karaoke competition last night, that wasnt actually a competition at all as there were no prizes. I ended up singing a linking park duet with Ed where he rapped and I sang, it was pretty funny. I then tried to redeem myself with Champagne Supernova by Oasis, which i enjoyed.
Queenstown is our last new destination on the South Island. We are headed back to Christchurch tomorrow, then on to Kaikoura again before going up to Wellington to start the North. I am going to have a few days in Rotorua, so i should be able to find Murupara!
Hope you are all well, Mat x
