Mary's Travels
We woke up to a hot breakfast already made for us! It was wonderful. We got dressed and went to the Forks and shopped a bit, then we headed to the Exchange District, a hip newly renovated part of town. They have free concerts every Monday at noon, so we hit that up and it ended up being very good! The band was a mix between folk and jazz and they were on their game! Afterwards we went to a poutinerie and got traditional poutine- fries with cheese crumbles and a specific Canadian gravy on top. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack afterwards but it was good. We learned about it in French class, so it was even cooler for me. Then we ate lunch in the park and enjoyed the beautiful weather. After that we walked around the shops down there. They were all vintage and/or expensive boutique, but they were cool to see. When we got tired, we went back to the hotel and got ready for a dinner at the forks. Julia, Sara, and I got crêpes, and they were very good and very filling. Then we rushed back to the Cube (same place where we saw the concert) where we took a swing dancing class. It was fun to just dance around in the park. We picked up some good moves if I do say so myself.
