OK.. now you want to know why I'm having fun?  Nope, I'm not gambling or drinking to excess or line dancing (however I have been known to dance just a tad). 

What I am doing is enjoying the dolphins, whales and, most especially, our flight over the glaciers in Juneau yesterday. 
We booked an excursion to take a float plane over the glaciers not really sure what to expect.  Turned out to be an absolutely (rare) beautiful day with blue sky and unlimited visibility.  That meant we could take a different route from usual and fly over 5 different glaciers as well as the inlet and some surrounding countryside.  But that's not the kicker.... I got to sit beside the pilot!! 

It was only a 10 seater with everyone getting a window seat.  Two men pushed in front of me to get the front seats.  Boy were they surprised when the pilot said to get in beside him.  What an amazing view.  It was actually breathtaking .. and I was (really) speachless!!  That in itself is amazing.

The little town of Juneau was pretty cute once you got past the stores.  Even the shopping frenzy couldn't take away my euphoria from the flight.  I haven't spent any money yet... may do so in Ketchican.... Everything looks the same as products souvenirs available in Canada right down to the "made in China" printed on the back side.

Anyway... the shows are great and the food not too bad. Did I mention the Nylons are the headliners on board. For those of you under 40 you may not know who they are.... I, however, love their acapella sounds (even if only one of the group is an original member).

To top all this off I won 100 free minutes on the internet (normally it's $.75 / min) so I get to update my blog for only the $3.95 sign up fee (they get you coming or going). 

Wonder if I have a coupon for that somewhere in all the paper they shove under the door?
