We set off from our field backwards! as Adam our driver could not turn the truck round, until we passed through the village nearby. We then set off for Bran, for a visit to Dracula's castle, we travelled up through the Carpathian mountains passing through a mixture of small rural villages and ski resorts. We stopped in the village of Bran for a couple of hours. The castle although imposing from a distance, is quite small up close, the castle is loosely associated with Vlad the Impaler, it is obviously a draw to Romanian's as there was a party feel to the place, including lots of tacky tourist stuff as we finished it poured with rain, so we had to dodge the puddles which turned to rivers. After another drive through the mountains we headed to Bucharest for our next stop.
We had a bit of a birthday bash this evening a few bottles were drunk and party games played, a few sore heads and stiff legs in the morning will be expected.
