We arrived yesterday at our campsite in Budapest and rushed off to get my specs repaired which was done by a local optical shop for free, the people are much more friendly than the other countries we have been to so far, it rained last night but much warmer than the last few days. We spent today walking around Budapest, visiting various locations and spending a mammoth four hours in the house of terror, learning about the secret police of Hungary during both the Nazis and Communist regimes, very thought provoking. We then had an ice-cream and contemplated our freedoms, how lucky we are!.
There was also a VW Beetle convention in one of the squares.
We also came across a cultural display by the Beetle convention, which had the biggest deadlock dog we have ever seen but boy did he stink!!, see the photos.
Off to Romania tomorrow and more bush camping.
