A beautiful coast road runs along the northern shore of Gaspe from Ste Anne des Monts to Forillon national park and the head off to the peninsular. I hike to the look out and the top of the peninsular which offer views over to Perce.

I spend the morning hiking back to the bike before riding to the other side of the park to hike to lake America and Mont Xalibu. I head back to the coast and camp the night on the beach.

I spend the day in Parc de la Gaspesir hiking and spend the night at a back country camp where i meet two med students. We share their chocolate fondu and play cards before calling it a night.

I'm making good time towards Ste Anne des Monts and I pass through Cap Chat which has a massive array of wind turbines (133) and the worlds largest vertical axis turbine, Éole, I drop by for a closer look. A young and very eager tour guide shows me around and wows me with the facts of the system. I arrive in Ste Anne des Monts and find another backpackers oasis, Sea Shack. I spend a relaxed morning at the hostel chatting with some of the other travelers and getting recommendations on where to visit in Gaspé. The hostel also has a piano which is spend some time playing (badly). I hit the road at 12 and arrive at the Les Escoumins ferry terminal around 1. The ferry doesn't leave for an hour and a half but I spend the time speaking with the crew and passengers who have little english but are extremely friendly, and whale watching...
