I spend the day exploring the north of Cape Breton. The roads are the best I have ridden so far in Canada and heading north the off-road trails are great, if not beyond my skill level. That evening I'm searching for a place to camp when I find a great little cove. There is a small camper van already there and just about to abandon the idea when the owners come and say hello. Jim and Barbra are retirees from Ontario have been travelers since they met in the 60's. They have only recently given up their tent for the van and have travelled all over the world, including a recent trip to India. They invite me to join them at this little cove and I end up learning a bit of their story over tea and banana bread as we chat into the night.
