In the morning i say goodbye to Isaac, Jackie and Brad as they get on a 13 hour bus to Port aux Basque to catch the ferry back to Nova Scotia. Over breakfast I meet Mark (Qld) who has been traveling for 5 years. He's been home a few times but is excited as he will see his mum in a few days, the first time in 3 years. The St Johns Regatta is being held today and its a local holiday. We check out the action for a few hours. I head back to the hostel to get a few things done in preparation for leaving tomorrow (laundry, oil change on the bike).
The local museum know as The Rooms (Newfie for the place where fishing catches were processed) is free on Wednesday evenings so I spend a few hours checking it out. The view from the top floor over the city and port is spectacular. I meet up with Mark for dinner and we also meet Jane (NZ). We head out to George St after dinner to check out some more live bands and local beers.
