I was so excited to be going to Marion as in a day l would see my amazing friend Dusk for a week. Her, Peter, and the boys, Jackson and Liam were driving over from Echuca to Adelaide to stay with us for a week over the New Year period. We were ready to head off and unfortunately the van didn't sell so we would keep plugging away. We've put it on eBay now so hopefully we'll get some bites. Everyone was excited to be heading off to West Beach in Adelaide today for two reasons, first being that we were going to a caravan park, and secondly because we were catching up with the Woods again..... The kids even helped us pack up!!! It was only a short 1.5hr drive up the highway from Parham to West Beach but the kids made it feel like longer, wanting wee stops and also asking "how much longer?". We checked in at 11am and headed down to our allocated site...

So reluctantly we packed up and headed off from Point Lowly to Parham. The weather was a tad cooler with suspicious clouds around. We were all packed up and ready to head off by 9am, the Cronans leading the way. If l thought the drive from Kings Canyon to Coober Pedy was boring, then l was shocked to find that from Coober Pedy to Woomera was bloody worse. Well l can finally remember why l hated the drive up the center of Australia ten years ago! The drive from Marla to Coober Pedy, although shortish, was the most boring drive we'd done in a long time.
