This picture is terrible, but we left Silver City around 5am. We drove through some extremely dry land, but then were able to see lots of elk and mule deer grazing early as we drove through some areas that had some grass. We had a carful of excited kids on the lookout for bears and such as we drove through Gila National Forest and Apache National Forest. We made it to Flagstaff for lunch, and let the kids play at ChickFilA for an hour. God Bless ChickFilA! We should be at the Grand Canyon (North Rim) in the next few hours and will hopefully camp again tonight somewhere near there.
