After a 5 hour bus journey down the east coast I arrived at my hostel in Oamaru (The Red Kettle). Booked and paid for the accommodation for 4 nights. It was a quite wee town with not a lot of tours on offer but the weather was good. Went for a few walks up some hills (about the size of the Mourne mountains), Saw a few penguins coming in to shore and wobbling up the beach. They're penguin mad in this town as it's nearly the only thing that have to offer, there is even a huge statue of a penguin in the town center. Got all my washing done and now I'm moving farther down the coast to the next city in the south island, which should be good. Nothing else to report so bye for now.
