So we have done Niagara. Fantastic. Hired ourselves a ZZ Top car and headed off down these endless highways. Arrived at Niagra to a very dark sky and parking tolls of 18 dollars soo drove for miles, parked for free and walked back in along the river. The falls were immense, more dramatic somehow for being under a dark sky. Arrived back at the car 2 miles later like drowned rats but hey ho. Next step, a room, a take away and a bottle ofwine, proved more challenging. Getting hold of alcohol here is not easy.Eventually found the DUTY FREE yea. Drove through the barrier found our goodies only to be told we couldn't have them unless we were driving over the bridge to America AND there was no way out o'the car park back into Canada der! So we lay in wait and skipped out of the in barrier, probably highly illegal. An hour later the mission accomplished we fell into bed with a mexican (no, just the food) and a bottle of Wolfblass and gave up any ambition to become alchol dependent whilst in Canada, it's not worth the effort. Next morning, after an all you can eat breakfast we headed for the boat to see the falls. Having battled our way into the large blue bin liners we were given as rain wear we managed to find the holes for our heads just in time to see the falls. The boat seemed to be listing slightly, probably the all you can eat breakfast. Quite a trip though, the falls are so huge from down there and the roar, wow. Had a fab drive back, taking in the Butterfly conservatory wherein mating season appeared to be in full swing. Couldn't get Mark out of there and have had to censure the photos dramatically. So off to New Liskeard on Monday fully prepared with DEEP WOODS mosquito spray. Will update soon X
