Another sunny day and warm. We all headed off further north to Matauri Bay for the day.
Matauri Bay had a memorial to Greenpeace's Rainbow Warrior that was sunk by the French - it was now collecting coral out in the bay. The bay is very pretty with lots of off shore islands and a white sandy beach (it reminded me of South Africa). After the short slog up to see the memorial we headed to the beaches. Stan showed us his surfing skills, and Dave showed us his ability to keep falling over whilst playing cricket.
On the way back I was involved in a car accident, someone reversed into the car. Luckily it was their fault (I do not have insurance).
For the evening we went round to Duncan and Kates place (Sarah and Daves friends) for some lovely home cooking and home brew English beer. Kate is running a backpackers here, the offer to stay in a room was great especially after copious amounts of drink. After all the backpackers we stayed in, it was strange staying in one as a guest.
