Our first day driving in the Simpson Desert was pretty easy going. The road had been recently graded so our average speed was 70km per hour. The flies were shocking at our lunch stop and we ended up quickly making our lunch at the camper and eating in the car. Day 3 we left Thargomindah in Qld for the drive into South Australia. 3 states in 3 days! The drive across was really boring. The roads were dead straight and the landscape very barren with the occasional pretty patch.
