We eventually arrived in Jaipur in the afternoon and made ourselves comfy in our not so nice noisy hotel. Mr Uma took us to an astronomy show which may have been good if the narrator didn't only speak Indian! He then took us to the Vishnu temple where we witnessed a very holy congregation which made us feel a bit out of place, it was about 8pm by now so we grabbed some food (laura had a thali).
Early the next morning we made our way to the Amber fort and had an elephant ride to the top. Our guide showed us around and we bumped into a couple we met at Ranthambore (they only got a brief sighting of a Tiger). After the fort we went to the Jantar Mantar which is a place with some of the oldest tools to predict horoscopes etc (there was also the worlds largest sun dial). Finally we went to the city palace.
Mr Uma took us to a nice little restaurant which although served no beer and only vegatable dishes it was our best meal so far.
