We had to fly again from Mandalay not normally our choice of travel however because of the festival all other means of transport is not working....

Bagan is a major city supporting the largest amount of stupa's in the world some very derlict conditions others restored although very tastefully and not taking away the beauty of the original some stupas they have built a like size model next to it so you can see how it should have looked. We spend the first day visiting the biggest and most accessible ones by horse and carriage this place is like a desert its 42c...

Second day we take out cycles to visit the more remote sites.. we stand at the top of one and all you can se along the skyline is stupas. There are over 5,000 in 60sq km amazing place
