3rd - 11th May Nainital

Yet another hill station before hitting Delhi our last destination before heading home..

Nainital has beautiful lake but first impression was not as great as mussoorie which would have been hard... !!!

We did meet a lovely guy on the train last night Ali short for Arvind. He took time to show us to our carriage and beds before retiring himself..

We met with him the following day. To enjoy his sisters wedding party. an experience we will treasure and honour to be asked, we enjoyed good food and danced with everyone until dusk, when it all finished we then went onto the grooms house for chai and more celebrations...

Our first hotel although very old was quite dingy and smelling musty. we moved into another, before heading off to Corbett N.P for 2 days safari here I was really hoping to see the Indian Elephant.. but not lucky. we really didnt see much of anything. The gate we were at was now very dry no water in the rivers or water holes so evrything has moved on North.. A great experience but not so lucky this time...

Back into Nainital for few more days just wasting time now really!!

We migrated to an old British Governors house at the top of another mountain. Which gave us spectcular views of the lake & city below.. Also gave us great starting point for more trekking days. 5/6hrs daily we strode through the hills enjoying the clean fresh air..
