Beijing revisted 1st October -  21st

Well here we are again had to come back to Beijing to source visa for our homeward trip via Mongolia and Russia.  mmh lot more difficult than we first thought!! Lost some days but worth it in the end we are now booked on train for 21st

Whilst we have been back we have still had plenty to keep us occupied.

This time we had a lovely day on the Great Wall we went with small travel company "Cycle China" Great bunch of guys.  We had a six hour walk from Jiankou to Mutianya. Our start point wey up in the hills fa from other mad tourist . Beautiful day sun is shining Eagles are soaring the perfect day!!

We reach the wall after 1 hour upward drag Made us puff a little. Once onto the wall we could see for miles. We walked up and down the mountain  ridge you can see it is unrestored oh natural we walk through bushes and climb over rubble into the towers . the younger ones amongst us climbed to the top of the towers for that perfect awesome picture me I sent Mark and I rested with the guide. Made sense to me !!

We Have lunch at one of the beacon towers  before starting our next leg   which bought us to Mutianya Bit of a wake up call the crowds are starting to appear and we can hear the Megaphones blasting Still nothing like our first awful experience of Badaling.. Great Day!! Great Company!!

Whilst we are winding away our days here we are lucky enough to seee the Beijing Marathon We did it the easy way on cycles!! Bit crazy here with evry driver wanting to kill you but we managed and continued the hire for another 3 days.. 

Bikes returned we are off to The Summer Palace.. Another beautiful Park on the outskirts of the city a few miles away from the Smog and  noise!! We certainly chilled here we took a canal boat ride to the entrance instead of a bus or train had a mooch around took out rowing boat onto the massive lake.

We have estabalished ourselves into a lovely 4* hotel to finish our trip in style, We have a gym, pool,snooker and some great food. 

We will be starting our leg home next week 21st Oct we catch the Transiberain Railway to Moscow via Mongolia So be patient and wait for last installment!!
