Breakfast was included here which was fresh bread and jam or egg! Yum! The hostel was full for tonight so we had to find somewhere else to stay! We were very lucky though, we popped to the hotel next door which look a bit posh but was only $2 more than the hostel and is far nicer! Once we had moved all our stuff over we went on the city walk as it was a good way to see more of the city. We were lucky as we got to see some nicer areas and some very modern looking buildings! We passed the War musuem but it was shut for lunch so we just took pictures of the transport outside. We went to visit the Reunification palace which used to be a symbol of the south Vietnamese government and has been preserved in the way that it was when northern Vietnam took control of the south back in 1975. The President of south Vietnam used to live there! We walked around mooching in all the rooms. They seemed to be never ending but was interesting to see. From there we carried on on our walk. We walked through some lovely looking areas and saw the Notre Dame cathedral and the central post office. We went down to the riverfront where there were some nice looking boats but also some very old ones too! There was a huge cruise ship which took us by surprise! We then weaved our way through the streets back to the hotel where we chilled for a bit before heading out for dinner and to mooch at night! It was very lively and lots going on! Really starting to like Ho Chi Minh!
