We've been away a week today and we're spending it on the bus! Hmmm!! It's nowhere near as bad as we thought it would be! We both slept all night and I slept most of the morning! The bus stops more often than we thought and more often than not..at a Tim Hortons!! I have fallen for their French Vanilla Cappucino and I think Mark is starting to as well! The scenery on route is so natural and untouched and a fair bit of the journey was alongside Lake Huron and Lake Superior - Mainly route 17! Mark was particularly take by the smaller streams flowing from the rocky hilltops down into the smaller lakes and/or Lake Huron. The landscape from Sudbury to White River was mainly rocky with many natural water features, yet as we neared Wawa and Thunder Bay the scenery became more woodland and hilly. Thunderbay to Winnipeg was fairly flat and boring. We passed through many smaller towns and it was nice to see the 'real' Canada. White River was were Winnie the Pooh begun! Some of the smaller towns do seem to be there as halfway towns between some of the larger cities. They seem to make a living out of just serving the passers by, truckers, travellers, coaches, with petrol stations, motels, coffee shops, convenience stores and resturants. Some of these towns are set in beautiful areas around lakes and rivers. Also managed to persuade Mark to buy some chocolate. As i'd heard that it was a bit different over here, I chose Dairy Milk to be safe..only to be hugely disappointed! Tasted nothing like it - so it has put me off..humf!
No sign of a moose or a bear yet...well not real ones anyway!
