Hot is one word to describe how it is here, what a difference coming from Oz! We stayed at The Prince of Wales hostel which was nice and it only cost about 5 pound per night including breakfast. Things are starting to get cheaper. When we turned up, the streets were filled with locals hanging around. All men and hardly any women about, we think it was a Sunday thing. We were just hanging out the window for ages, fasinated by what was going on in the streets....

We're now safely in Singapore and its hot. We got off the plane and the heat hit us. It was still 30 degrees at night!! No need for jumpers anymore!! We are staying in Little India and it is quite a culture shock coming from Australia. Just planning our next few days before its time to move on again.

Welcome to our last Australian installment. Our last stop was Cairns and we travelled up here last Sunday from Mission Beach. On the way to Cairns we stopped at a Croc Farm where we saw our first cassowary (3rd largest bird and dangerous). The guy who owned the place was a little crazy and sat on a 5m croc. We got the ferry across from Townsville to Magnetic Island last Saturday and went straight to our hostel. We couldnt of asked for a better location, the hostel was right on the beach and it was so nice there. There wasnt much to do there apart from relaxing and sunbathing. Our prayers have been answered and the sun is back.
