Last day on Fiji, it's been a real taste of paradise both in terms of the actual place but also in terms of the people. The genuine warm welcome shouted at you as you pass them ....Bula is said with a toothy smile and a real sense of meaning.

Today we had a private 4 WD tour to the interior of Fiji. We were taken along some of the roughest roads I've ever encountered, in fairness they were more like tracks than roads. We went up to 2,000 feet above sea level to see some breath taking views out to the surrounding islands. Just a relaxing day around the pool today it's the first time in months Katie has actually been able to do nothing. Adam made a friend down on the beach, Tonga , who invited him to his village. We saw the fire show last night which was spectacular, we are off to the fire lighting ceremony tonight which should be good.

Arrived in Fiji in the pitch dark, all we could see was the light from the fires where the sugar cane stubble is burnt. The smell the fires give off is really sweet. It was funny how our taxi overtook the fire truck on its was to help put them out. This morning we really have woken up to Paradise. The hotel looks beautiful we especially loved the idea of calling for Golf buggy to take us to breakfast. The jacuzzi bath is on the balcony over looking the lagoon ...
