G'Day
Today Adelaide presented us with a lovely sunny day and we capitalised on it by taking the tram out to the beach suburb of Glenelg for the morning/afternoon.
Its just a short 20 minute ride from Victoria Square and the tram just about drops you on the beach.
We had a walk down the pier and also had a look in the Rodney Fox Shark Experience. He was attacked in 1963 by a great white and decided that he would promote conservation of the sharks it was a cool little place and had the original cage used when they filmed Jaws!!!
It turned out that they used a 1/2 size cage with a small diver to make the shark look twice as big!!!!
As we were at the seaside it would have been rude not to have fish and chips which we did by the sea, the only thing I don't like is the Aussies don't do vinegar with their fish and chips!!!!!
After a late lunch we strolled around the shops for a while before taking the tram back downtown to visit the Migration Museum, it was a bit dissappointing as the exhibits were not as good as some we have seen, but it was FREE!!!!!
Another day draws to a close and we have the Barossa Vally wine tasting tomorrow which should be fun. Will report back tomorrow with details.
Lots of Love
M & M
