Well here we are the home of winter sports,Whistler. We had a brief overnight stop last night in Vancouver but as we arrived back late we just took it easy at the hostel before the early start this morning. We have put some miles under our belts today but have also seen some good things. Our first stop was Long Beach trail for a 1 hour rainforest walk that finished on the beach. From here we went to for Lunch in the park in Port Alberni and followed this up with a visit to some of the biggest and oldest trees in Canada some over 90 metres tall!!! Hi People We are currently in Tofino on Vancouver Island(which is an island but the size of the Netherlands). We started the day by taking the ferry to Vancouver Island then carried on by bus from the port town of Nanaimo to Little Qualicum Falls for a picnic lunch and a hike around the falls.
