G'Day

Well here we are we have finally made it down to 'The Alice' as the locals say. It was a short 22 hour bus trip this time so nothing too heavy!!!

On the way down we passed several bush fires, including a massive fire that was raging at the back of a petrol station. Needless to say our driver hot footed it out of there quickly.

Mel had her nightly visit from the flying cockroaches she is like Dr Doolittle of the insect world!!!!

It is hot here but no humidity unlike Darwin which was too hot and sticky.

As I said we are staying at Annies Place in Alice Springs. We are catching up on jobs and things today as we leave at 5.30am for our 3 day trip to Uluru,Kings Canyon and Valley of the Winds.

So sadly there won't be a blog post for the next 3 days, but I will be back online Wednesday night or maybe Thursday depending on how much hiking we will have done and how tired we will be.

Just so you don't get withdrawal symptoms we have managed to add a heap of photographs to keep you going till then.
