G'Day

Well it was another early bus to head North to the surf town of Byron Bay, just a short 5 hour hop up the coast. The journey went really quick with just the 1 stop at the Big Prawn Restaurant, complete with 50ft prawn on the roof which got Mel really excited. I think she has developed a love of gigantic food items!!!!

With such an early start we were in Byron Bay for midday and checked in at the hostel. As the weather was not too good again we took the coastal walk along Clarks Beach and up to Byron Bay Lighthouse for fantastic views of the bay and surrounding area. It was a 6km round trip and we have done enough walking for a while!!!!

On the way up we bumped into a few bush turkeys which just roam around minding their own business!!!!

We must have been tired as we got back to the hostel and fell asleep for about 90 minutes. The weather has been bad so not able to have my surf lesson yet, but will keep trying.
