Sabaidee

Today we leave behind the landlocked country of Laos and head out over the Friendship Bridge and back into Thailand to Nong Khai. From Nong Khai we pick up the overnight train which will take us all the way back to Bangkok.

Our time in Laos has been OK but not our favourite country, although the people have been friendly there has not been enough to keep us occupied everyday and we are so used to being on the go. That said it has been nice to move at a slower pace for the last couple of weeks.

Not sure about sleeping arrangements on the train as it was quite full so we could be at different ends of the train from each other but will find out when we get to the station!!!!

Had a nice day yesterday at the outdoor swimming pool that they have here, it was 10000 kip each/50p and we got to spend the whole day there swimming (of course) and chatting with local people and tourists as well.We only left at 4pm because we were both starving hungry otherwise we would have ended up staying till closing time at 10pm!!!!
