Welcome back to the wild west in Laos!!!!

It seems that anything goes here in Vang Vieng, you can get opium and marajuana with your evening meal or even a magic mushroom shake to drink.

You have heard of the McDonalds 1/4 pounder well last night we had the Vang Vieng 1/4 ouncer it was the tiniest burger we had ever seen about the size of a 50p piece it made us look like giants eating it!!!!

Today the sun was up early and we had booked to go tubing on the Nam Song River.You basically jump on a rubber ring and float down the river stopping off at bars and restaurants. The stretch of river is 5km and it took us about 3 hours to complete with a short stop.It is all pretty calm with just a couple of fast patches. There isn't much else to do here so we are moving on to Vientiane the capital tomorrow to see what it has to offer us.
