Sabadee

Well here we are in the little town of Vang Vieng which was a 6 hour bus ride South of Luang Prabang. We took the VIP bus to get here but I think they only called it VIP because it had curtains!!!!! There was a TV but it didn't work and my seat would not move from the reclining position so I spent 6 hours looking at myself in the mirror ceiling which is enough for anybody and it made my head look even bigger!!!!

Vang Vieng is a stop off on the way to Vientiane the Capital of Laos and it is tiny we have just walked the main street in 5 minutes flat. It has a Wild West feel to it with mud roads and wild dogs everywhere. We have just booked in to go tubing tomorrow on the Nam Khong River it is a 5km run at a leisurely pace and you can stop off at bars on the way and have a drink, they haul you in with bamboo poles. I also think there are rope swings as well but will let you know more tomorrow.

Off for our dinner as we have not eaten all day apart from an ice cream each and Mels had ants in it which she didn't find out till the thing was half eaten!!!!
