The next morning we left really early in time to fit in another hike before we left. We took the canoe and paddled upstream. We caught a very early flight to Iquitos, the main city in the Amazon Basin and around half of Peru is in the Amazon Basin. When we arrived, our guide, Rudy, met us at the airport and we made our way to the harbour where we boarded the boat, with the rest of the staff. We arrived back in Lima and decided to head to Miraflores to find a hotel, a suburb of Lima, a little out of the centre and decidely nicer and safer! We enjoyed having a wonder around the parks where the artisans display their work and drinking coffee in the cafes which has been really relaxing after a hectic couple of weeks. The night we arrived in Pisco we met up with some Irish girls and some of the people from the tour agency for dinner.
