After Pukett we were on our way to koh phanang, the second lagest of the islads on the south easten end thailand, and also home to the largest full moon party!
On our arival the island seemed a very relaxed place especialy away from the main town. Thankfully our hostel, coconut beach, was on the very north of the island. It pretty much had a private beach and about 50m out to sea there was a completly unspoilt corral reef! On the beach there were hamocks strung between palm trees, basically it was a tropical paradice that was great for relaxing, which is what we needed after the full moon party. The party happens on a beach about 2km long, and on the beach there are 6different sections all playing different types of music. We turned up around 10pm and didnt leave untill 8am. As soon as we got there we got ourselves body painted and got some drink, which is surved in buckets, and is rediculusly strong with a bottle of spirits in each. We got split up almost strait away, but this didnt matter because we all met so many random people. At the party i met tania (a friend from home) who i didnt even know was on the island! As i said the party went on till 8am for us, but you could stay for an after party if you had the stamina (we didnt). Some how we were reunited in the morning, when i was stumbling along the beach i just saw matt and jack together and so i just decided to sit down with them for a few minsbefore getting a pick up back to the guest house with two girls who were also staying there. All i can say about that journy is that matt did not look well. The next day was spent sleeping on hammocks, or in my case on the beach as i didnt make it as far as the hammocks.
Over the next few days we recouperated, and did nothing but do snorckling, talk to the people at the guest house and relax.
After koh phangang we went up to koh tao. This island is much smaller, but it is famed for its diving. The only problem with our stay there was that the monsoons had caught up with us and so we spent 4 days hoping for the rains to subside, they didnt. Even thought the weather was no good the guest house was awsome, and had a random middle aged english lady who appart from being a bit crazy was really nice. And So our time on the islands came to an end, we got an overnight ferry up to chumporn and then an 8 hr bus up to Bangcock, where we would spend the next week
