I wish I would have looked up the weather forecast before I started the tour around the South West of WA…When we started our trip on Thursday, it was very hot and sunny in Perth. But the further south we got, the worse got the weather. On our way down to Augusta, where we stayed the first night, we stopped at different beaches like "Gnariabup beach" and we went to a winery (to get drunk). We also did a tour around the NgilgiCaves. The formations were just amazing. We spent about 1hr underground, up to 70m. I could have taken thousands of pictures…
But the best part of the tour was at night when we were all sitting together and had so much fun while getting drunk
The second day was basically just spending around trees in the forest. First we climbed the Becentennial Tree (75m). It's the highest tree top lookout in the world. Afterwards we made our way to the Valley of the Giants and the Tree Top Walk. There we had the opportunity to take a walk through the canopy of the ancient Tingle forest, 40 meters above the forest floor. It was so much fun that some of us did it all a second or third time, although it was pissing down really badly… In the afternoon we had time to visit William Bay NP to have a look at the Elephant Rocks. Unfortunately we couldn't take a dip in the clear waters of Green Pools, cause the weather was just awful!!!Yesterday we had again an early morning to get from Albany to Esperance. Our timetable wasn't that full for the morning, but the toughest part was the climb of the BluffKnollMountain in the StirlingRanges. Only a few made it to the top. After lunch there was a massive thunderstorm coming and we were lucky we got back to the bus in time. Then our tour group had to split up, cause half of us only booked a 3day Tour. At the end we were only 6people left. But when we arrived in Esperance, we still had our fun with drinking games… Ha ha ha!!!Today we luckily had a sleep in till 8am and we drove straight after breaky to the Cape Le Grand NP to climb the mountain. It was a fantastic view from up there. We took so nice pictures… Afterwards we went to LuckyBay - Oh my God. It was probably the most amazing beach I've ever seen; crystal clear water, white sandy beach; just paradise. And we were really lucky with the weather, cause it was sunny and very hot (could have been the first time since we left Perth). But as soon as we got out of the water, there was another thunderstorm coming… So we had lunch and drove back to the Hostel.
Tomorrow then it's just driving back to Perth with stops in Hyden (Wave Rock and Hippo's Yawn) and Corrigin at a DogCemetery. Then I have one day off before starting my tour north to Exmouth…
