We had a week in Dubai, where we were visiting Jennifer and Neil and was joined by Isobel and Debbie and Karren. For our first evening meal we headed to wings and rings for some chicken wings where we have been before and enjoyed. Debbie and Karren were arriving a day later than us so it was just Andrew, Isobel and myself who headed to the pool for some sun on Tuesday and we then jumped on the metro to grab some take away at Jen and Neil's at night.

As it was Debbie and Karren's first trip to Dubai we decided to do the bus tours of the new city and the old. The tours were interesting but quite elongated and very hot! As it was also Wednesday we had a table booked at Ruth Chris since it was ladies night and we were offered 4 free drinks each and 50% of main courses. Bargain. After dinner we had a reservation at at.mosphere on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa for some cocktails. The view was good and the cocktails were better!

On Thursday we all checked in to the Waldorf Astoria on the Palm and enjoyed the sun all day.

Friday was brunch day so we headed to Al Qsar where we ate and drank ourselves silly for 4 hours.

Saturday was another relaxing day at the pool before dining in Seafire Steakhouse in The Atlantis hotel.

Sunday was another hard day laying by the pool, as was Monday before checking out at 1830 and setting off to the airport to enjoy more first class service by Qatar.
