Today was the first of two straight days at sea and a chance
to just relax and explore any of the areas of the ship that we had not yet
seen. We took breakfast in the buffet that overlooks the back of the ship and
which is the one bit of the ship that can actually feel busy at times as opposed
to the rest of the ship which never feels like there are another 2800 people.
After breakfast we headed to the on board coffee shop for a cup of tea and a
read of the papers. We completed immigration for New Zealand on board the ship
where the only question we got asked was if we had any honey with us.
We then headed up to the outside section at the aft of the
ship and wrote up our blog while having a beer. We sat in the Sunset bar and
just stared at the sea until lunch time, and it was back to the buffet. There
is a massive choice of foods at lunch time, Indian, Mexican, BBQ, pasta & pizza,
carvery, salad, soup&sannies ice cream&cakes and much more. It’s really
hard work trying not to come back to the table with a plate full of nonsense!
The afternoon was spent in the relaxation room, you got it,
relaxing. Then it was back to the room to get ready for dinner. After a couple
of martinis we headed to Silk Harvest orient restaurant where we had soup, BBQ
pork buns, sushi, green curry and lemongrass prawns. He had no room for dessert
but did manage a couple of after dinner cocktails with Sladjana the lovely
mixologist at Molecular bar. There was a little time and money spent in the
casino before doing a tour of the other bars to make sure there really was next
to no-one still awake at 0045! We picked up a slice of pizza and a beer and
headed back to the room.

nannie You two will be alcoholics by the time you get home, just jealous;;; I'm a bit bored sitting looking out at the horrible white stuff and can't even go to my class or for a walk , so its fine having your blogs to cheer me up, carry on cruising and boozing, looking forward to the next one, bye bye.
