Our time with Trevor and Sarah in Mindarie, just north of Perth, was really all about making the most of the pool, sun and time with our friends, so that's what we did. The weather did what was expected of it and we enjoyed as much relaxing time as possible with a BBQ for New Year thrown in. All in all it was exactly what we wanted.

We headed down to Margaret River, which is about 3 hours south of Perth for a couple of days with Trevor and Sarah. This area is renowned for its Vineyards and wine, so we did the logical thing and took part in some wine tasting and lunch in a lovely vineyard called Voyager. We had a really chilled couple of days before heading back to Mindarie to relax some more at the pool.

Today Trevor and ourselves took the train to Perth, it takes around 30 minutes on the train from where they live and Erin kindly gave us a lift to the station which is around 10 minutes away. Erin and her boyfriend James kindly started the day off by providing us breakfast and then Trevor and Andrew spent the rest of the morning watching the Superbowl while Mandy enjoyed the sun next to the pool. We then decided to head up north a little to one of the beaches that Trevor surfs at, there wasn't enough waves to warrant having the boards with us though. We started the day with a warning from the hotel breakfast supervisor that we only had ten minutes to eat as for some reason 10am is finishing time on a Sunday.
