Our flight to Adelaide was fairly non eventful, apart from being sat around the Adelaide football team who had just beaten Perth the night before. We arrived in Adelaide to be greeted at the hotel with an upgrade and the great news that the lounge was still open for another 2 hours, so naturally we headed up to see what was on offer. A few beers and some nibbles later we headed out to one of the main streets for food, a walk up and down we ended up at an Korean BBQ place, the meal was good and extremely reasonable.
Our first full day was a scorcher and as we knew the weather was likely to turn worse as the days went on, so we made use of the hotel pool deck for a couple of hours. We then headed down to Glenelg on the tram, it's a nice beachside area which was pretty packed due to the hot weather. We walked about enjoying the sun and views, had some lunch and then headed back up to the city for a quick look around before making use of the lounge in the evening.
On the Thursday we headed out on a self guided tour of Adelaide, we covered most of the main areas of the city, dodging the rain in the morning. We once again headed back to the hotel late afternoon and made use of the lounge in the evening.
