Today was ship boarding day! Started our day with anotheromelette from the hotel breakfast, before spending the rest of the morningpacking up the suitcases. We started the day with an omelette, then headed down to Circular Quay as our cruise ship had arrived to finish off its previous cruise. We were very excited to see the massive ship in situ and were not disappointed. Next stop was to buy tickets and board the small ferry to Manly, which is a lovely suburb of Sydney. The ferry took 30mins and offered fantastic views during the journey. Once in Manly we headed to the beach where we took a stroll along the promenade...

Our chosen mode of transport today was the ever favourite hop on hop off bus, bolstered by a change of weather for today so the sun would be shining.  There are 2 different routes for Sydney, one around the city and the other to Bondi beach area. Our flight to Sydney was at 1000 so we had an early start from Gold Coast. The taxi took around 30 mins and check-in was easy. The airport is around the size of ABZ, but even without a boarding pass, you are allowed through security to meet people off flights!We were slumming it down the back today as it was only a 1hrs flight. We'd worked out that an early start was required if there was any chance of securing a bed beside the pool so we were up at breakfast for around seven. Even with that early start we got one of the last two beds! Seems the towel game isn't restricted to the Europeans.Our plan was again just to relax by the pool for the whole day.
