The boat stayed overnight in Sydney so basically we were in
a massive floating hotel for the night! Gave us a chance to get used to how the
whole place worked before it got moving. We made our way to breakfast at the
same restaurant we had dinner and again went for an omelette. Andrew decided to
try and egg white only omelette, turns out it’s just like having fried eggs.
We then sat outside at the back of the boat and typed up the
blog before again nipping off to post. The rest of the morning and most of the
afternoon was spent making the most of the sun whilst lying by the pool only
interrupted by a visit to the buffet for lunch.
Emergency drill was held late in the afternoon and then it
was time to get ready for sail away. We bagged ourselves a prime spot at the
back thanks to some kind manners from an American couple. Was interesting watch
the small tug boats manoeuvre us out of the harbour and then to see the famous
sights of Sydney disappear as the sun was setting. Quite an experience.
We had a couple of hours to kill before our dinner
reservation so we headed to one of the bars that we had not yet visited, we
sampled another cocktail from this bar before heading back to the martini bar
and then off to dinner. Dinner was in a restaurant called Tuscan grill situated
right at the back of the boat overlooking the ships wake, as the name suggests
it was an Italian steak house. After dinner we headed to the molecular bar to
carry on working our way through that menu before calling it a night.

Glenury A manicured field - on an amazing floating luxury hotel - oh, and there's one of the world's most iconic buildings hovering as a backdrop. Good on ya!
