Day 33 - Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise)

We awake to our first full day in the Gold Coast and the sun is beaming YAY!

We have some breakfast in our little apartment and head out to the beach which is literally around the corner from us. We worship the sun for a while on the beach but our bellies soon get the better of us and we have to get some dinner cause we're both staaarving. We find a nice little bar on the beach front that does cheap meals so we give it a go. I opt for the curry and Si decides to try thai beef with noodles. The curry was a bit mild and tastless (you know it must have been mild if i thought it was!) but Si's was gorgeous we're both looking forward to having more stuff like that in a couple of months in Thailand.

After dinner we have a walk around some of the tourist shops and enquire about how much it would be to go and shoot a gun. It was well expensive about $170! The guy said that I would only be able to shoot a hand gun (not fair) and then told Si (with a nudge and a wink me thinks) that he couldn't 'legally' let him shoot a shot gun first. Anyway we decided it was a bit pricey and to give it a miss but I still really wanna do it.

We decide to head back to the apartment and pick up some tea and drinks on the way. We'd just finished our pizza when our new flat mates arrive, a young Indonesian couple seem very nice but keep themselves to themselves. We finish our drinks and retire to our bedroom to watch a dvd and get some sleep.
