Day 18 - Las Vegas

The 2nd day in a row we awake to feeling a bit rough (those cocktails are killers) we opt for fruit and bagels as feeling a little delicate.

We walk around the mall and grab some heel pads for Rho's new shoes so they don't hurt her ickle feet! We've booked a plane flight over the grand canyon & Hoover dam for today so we are soon getting picked up and driven to Boulder City airport (just outside of Vegas).

The plane is 1 of those tiny ones, there's about 14 people in total and the 2 pilots (It clearly isn't built for people that are 6ft + as my legs are in the tiny aisle!)

The flight is pretty smooth and we're soon flying over Hoover dam, Lake Mead, some native Indian towns and eventualy that big hole in the ground the Grand Canyon. You can't really describe how big the thing is it looks pretty big on TV but when you're flying over/in the thing it's mind blowing! We took loads of pics some of which we uploaded and the flight lasted about an hour. Nevada is weird from above just brown deserts and mountains everywhere then on the left lots of towering buildings (The strip) and the right a massive Blue lake next to the huge Canyon (I'd recommend the trip in the plane it was about £15 more than the bus however the bus takes 14 hours there n back and you see just 1 rim of the canyon and the plane takes 4 hours and you get to fly over lots of it)

When we arrive back at the hotel we grab some food and decide to take it easy for the night as we're up at 6AM to head to the airport to jump on a plane ready for our next installment of the trip in San Francisco!
