Day 15 - San Diego/Las Vegas

We awake and get straight on the brekky and coffee as we have to pack today and say goodbye to the fantastic San Diego but we're heading off to Vegas so it's all good!

After a couple hours packing we're off to the airport and on our way, flight's only about 1 hour 30mins and tickets were cheap (the yank version of easyjet) the pilot tells us just before we're landing it's a cool 46 degrees outside (ouch) Once we have our bags we walk out of the nice air conditioned airport and bam the heat hits us. I can't breathe it's that hot my eyes instantly water and sweat begins flowing (nice!) We've arrived in the middle of a heat wave and there is no wind and no moisture in the air also no clouds (hottest place i've ever been!) we jump on the shuttle bus and are soon on the strip and arriving at the hotel.
I get the idea of asking for an upgraded room and tell Rhona to slip the checkin woman a $20, she refuses the $20 as they cant accept tips but says she'll sort us out anyway, she upgrades us to a bigger room with his/hers parts of the bathroom a view of the fountains at the Bellagio and a huge bed (all worth about an extra $200-250 FOR FREE :D

We decide to venture outside and are soon realising it was a mistake people everywhere are pouring in sweat and hiding their faces from the blazing sun so we dive in O'sheas casino as they're doing $3 Heinikens (happy days) after a couple we head back to our casino to do a bit of fluttering and then head off to bed when we're tired to save ourselves for my birthday tomorrow!
