Last night we attempted to make our own pasta to save on the pennies. This turned out to be a far more difficult task than first expected as the hostels stove is not exactly what you would call all ideal. So after a good hour of waiting for our pasta to boil we ended up with a bowl of soggy tomato pasta! I was hoping as a result of that we might be popping out for tea tonight but Mal (the man with the budget) has said no! So instead I have found a cracking toasty maker-surely we can't get that wrong!
We stayed in the hostel bar for the rest of the night getting to know everyone in the hostel. They had a happy hour on too so i got to have a few of my new favourite cocktails and Mal sampled the different beers. The barman was really funny and I think maybe a little stoned and kept topping up our cocktails with more alcohol! Then he just left as he wanted to go to a party and we were allowed to get our own drinks and just keep a tally of it on a sheet and pay for it the day after. It was a bit bizarre but I totally enjoyed myself and apparently was put to bed by Mal when I became a tad tipsy!
Today we got the bus to see Iguasu Falls on the Brazilian side and it was amazing! The views are totally unbelievable and was possibly the best thing we have ever seen. You can get tours to do it through the hostel but its much cheaper to do it yourself and really easy to get to. We took a little packed lunch and at one point we thought we were going to be attacked by this little raccoon creature so we quickly ran away incase he stole our Oreo cookies.
We are back at the hostel now and have just been chatting to our families back home. We rang them on viber and it was as if they were in the next room. It was lush.
We are off to Argentina tomorrow -fingers crossed we get across the border without any problems.
